Well, The Senator From Washington DC and his wife Andrea are about to breeze out of boring old Baton Rouge as quickly as they came. We had a good old drunken send off- well not too drunken, but we were at Happy's which is the place where it's all at. A little Johnny Cash was played- a little REM for Ted. It was sad, and fun. But mostly sad because every time I would think "this is fun! i love these guys!"- I would remember that they are moving away. DANGIT. The good news is that I can still talk to my bud on the phone and she can still be my biggest art fan from far away. The bad news is Chuck has no Ted to banter with in the office and that's just plain wrong.
Oh, and Ted- REM wrote a song about us not landing on the moon. I'm just sayin....
We love ya'll! be good!
On a lighter note, we're in Orange Beach with the Roy clan. Today we took a boat over to the old Pirates Cove restaurant (you Olivers and Braddocks and such will remember it from years gone by). There was a large dog that Lizzy befriended. I could really just live there- lots of sailboats and rum and saltwater.
Last but not least, I have to report that I got into the Art Melt- and if you don't know that by now, then you're not very close to me, but I still want you to know because I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself and I just want to shout it from the rooftops like a five year old.
The website (for the millionth time) is www.artmelt.org- and if you are in the area (and love me) you should come- it's free! Actually the preview party is the night before, and it's not free, but there will probably be 6,000 less people there and better food! just a thought!

congrats again on the art melt, and I'm glad to see you posted. Hurry home, life is dull without you and Lisa around... is she out of town too?
