Thanks to Nimmie and Po we were able to stealthily make off of the airplane, into our car and on our way home in 30 minutes- Thanks again guys!!
Plane landed at 4:45pm in Houston and we made it home by 10:15pm. Not too shabby considering Old Man Oliver was driving! We are all tired and grumpy and sick and wishing we were still on vacation. Vacation letdown is such a drag!
the flight home was fairly uneventful- we got the usual amount of random comments from strangers which don't really bother us anymore. Mostly people say nice things like "aw! you have FOUR girls- how lucky" which is sweet. Occasionally someone will feel the need to REALLY explain to us JUST WHAT WE ARE IN FOR. HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THE WEDDINGS? I HAVE JUST ONE GIRL AND MAN! I CAN'T IMAGINE FOUR. GOOD LUCK TO YOU! BOYS ARE SOOOOO MUCH EASIER.
it drives. chuck. crazy. I can see his expression change- the immigrations officer expressed to us just HOW HARD HIS ONE DAUGHTER WAS. He would take TEN boys over one girl. ok ok- and she would probably like a new dad who loved her. I'm just saying!

First of all... I drive about 78 on cruise control and we made it from BR to Nim and Po's in 5:15 WITH a stop at Outback in Lake Charles. Make that south loop Lake Charles. And.... I drove all you sleepy butts home in about 4 and a half hours. Old Man Oliver's driving record is squeaky clean. Second, I love the expression on Lizzie's face. Like, I've done this tarmac thing a million times. Whats wrong with you people?
we did make some pretty sweet time on the road paw...
Liz WAS pretty casual about the Tarmac thing- either she doesn't know any different or she traveled "by plane" a lot in her former life as an old rich lady in the 30's.
